OUR STORY
Our journey began with a simple mission: to bring authentic Italian food and hospitality to our corner of Southwest Minneapolis. When Tom & Molly Broder opened Broders’ Cucina Italiana in 1982, our deli was simple. Half the size it is today, offering only take-out and built upon convenience. It wasn’t long before our customers started asking us to cater their special events. Driven by our commitment to making our business thrive, we embraced these requests.
Over time, we formalized our catering department, evolving from impromptu arrangements to offering dedicated party trays, including antipasto and cheese displays, and our long-time specialty, Pesto Focaccia. Signature dishes, like lasagna dinners and fresh salads, became favorites during the holidays and large family celebrations.
Managing a catering service was challenging, balancing the demands of food preparation, event management, and clean-up, especially with a young family. To ensure a consistent and high-quality experience, we transitioned to offering convenient drop-off and pickup catering services. This shift allowed us to focus on what we do best: delivering delicious, expertly prepared meals for your events with the reliability and care you deserve.
